Sarah Cassidy and Kathy Cook took part in a Special Interest Group at the International Meeting for Autism Research (IMFAR) Conference on 13th May 2016 to raise awareness about the risk of suicide in autism.

Sarah presented a talk on how to assess and reduce suicide risk in autistic adults. The talk was really well received by a community of autistic adults, family members and professionals.

New Research! The MHAutism team have received funding from the National Institute of Health Research. The MHAutism team will work with the Autism Research Centre, University of Cambridge, to find out how many people who die by suicide suicide in the UK were diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and develop recommendations on how to prevent suicide in people with ASC.
